Mary's acclamation

"My soul magnifies the Lord". How powerful is this statement. How much depth is there to this sentence.

Obviously she was overcome by the Holy Spirit when she said this.  The word magnifies, means increase in size or volume.
She set forth a direct equation between the soul and the Lord.  The soul seems to be the channel for the Lord, allowing magnification of the Lords power.
