GOSPEL JN 1:29-34

John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. He is the one of whom I said, 'A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me.' I did not know him, but the reason why I ca-me baptizing with water was that he might be made known to Israel." John testified further, saying, "I saw the Spirit come down like a dove from the sky and remain upon him. I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God."

Reflection:

In today's Gospel, v heard abt d testimony of John the Baptist concerning Jesus. When John saw Jesus cmg towards him, he said, "Behold! Here is d lamb of God who takes away d sins of d world."

By his words, John made it very clear that Jesus was d 1 who wd b sacrificed to free d Jews frm sin. Jesus came to free us from sin bz of God's immense love for us, His very own children. His blood wd wash away our sins & make us children of God.

If this is d case then y r v still 'sinful'? It is bz v r human & possess free will, that there is a constant tension within us between desiring to do good & d inclination towards evil!

V hv to make a choice. Choice of accepting Jesus, the Lamb of God & do good or to follow evil ways.

What is our choice?????
